Dear friends of Idimayii
It has been a busy few months and we are happy to share with you all the updates from the school.
We have now completed the school toilet, drainage exists and the doors have been fitted and walls plastered. In total we spent £500 for completion of a much needed toilet for the school.
Volunteer Maasai welcomes anyone of any age who wants to travel, have unbelievable adventures and live with local people to really experience another culture and way of life!
We are a locally run organisation, employing local people, who have been raised in the area & know it inside & out. They can speak the local language, they know the local people & are in the best position to provide guidance, safe supervision & support to you the volunteer.
If you volunteer at Idimayii, you are guaranteed two things: hard work and a life changing trip. Experiencing the customs of other people first-hand is one of the greatest experiences a traveller can have. Volunteer Maasai offers authentic tribal encounters to enrich your next adventure.
Volunteer Maasai provides one of the most affordable ways to volunteer anywhere in Tanzania, & there are no registration fees! The amount you pay is the amount it costs us to support you in Tanzania & to support Idmayii school.
In total over 20 children at the school now have a uniform, thanks to a donation given in August we were able to buy 5 gilrs and 5 boys uniforms. The children love their uniforms and they want to wear them all day everyday. We believe school unifroms are essential to help build confidence and academic success. If you would like to make a contribution towards purchasing the 20 remaining school uniforms, please contact us.
